Team Makers Athletic Fields

ADDRESS
1380 16th Ave. N.
Fargo, ND 58102

For 30 years, North Dakota State University's football team practiced along University Drive south of the Fargodome and Sanford Health Athletic Complex, a site which became known as the Team Makers Athletic Fields after an upgrade in 2013.

The fields were built in 1991 when construction of the Fargodome claimed NDSU's former practice fields. The Bison completed their 2021 fall camp at this site before construction of the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex.

The space included two full-length grass fields with goal posts, nets, underground sprinklers and video camera towers. In between, the Gate City Bank Practice Field was installed in 2013 with the same AstroTurf GameDay Grass surface that debuted in the Fargodome in 2012.

With nearby Dacotah Field featuring lights and artificial turf, the Bison football team enjoyed one of the most expansive training spaces in college football. The four fields also were used by the Gold Star Band for performance rehearsal, and hosted NDSU's annual football camps that drew approximately 2,500 participants over three weeks each June.
