Box Score FARGO, N.D.--Minette Ridenour had a match-high 17 kills to lead South Dakota State to a 30-28, 30-28, 30-26 sweep of North Dakota State in college women's volleyball Friday, Oct. 21, before a crowd of 859 at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
The Jackrabbits, who won for the fifth straight match in the series with NDSU, improved to 12-13 on the year. The Bison dropped to 1-24 overall.
Kelly Lopez and Kim Hebl each had 12 kills to lead North Dakota State. The Bison had seven service aces to SDSU's five, including three aces by Chloe Quirk.
NDSU was in every game but couldn't hold off the Jackrabbits late. The Bison led 20-13 in the second set before the Jacks countered with a 17-8 run to go up two games at intermission.
North Dakota State broke a 17-all tie in the third game with a Hebl ace and kills from Quirk, Lopez and Christy Stuewe, but SDSU closed with a 12-4 run for the sweep.
The Bison close out their home schedule with an exhibition match Saturday, Oct. 22, against the NDSU alumni at 5 p.m.
