The New York Jets have signed North Dakota State University defensive nose guard Isaac Snell to free agent contract. The Jets plan to move Snell to either offensive guard or tackle. He is scheduled to leave Wednesday and begin Jets rookie/free agent mini-camp workouts Thursday morning.
Anchor of the defensive line, the 6-foot-6, 288-pound Snell turned in a solid senior season, recording 55 tackles including 11.5 tackles for loss. He had two sacks and also blocked a PAT attempt in the season opener against Valparaiso. Snell was named to the All-Great West Football Conference defense first team and Football Gazette Division I-AA All-West Region second team.
