DENVER, Colo.--People who lift weights during their
exercise routines face a travel challenge that runners do not: Where do
you squeeze in a workout on the road if a gym isn't handy?
Answer: Your hotel room. With a little imagination, it's a perfectly adequate place to fit in some resistance training.
Courtney Samuel at Body by Perseverance in Denver has tailored a portable workout for gym rats on the go.
"I have a lot of business clients who travel out of town," says
Samuel, a former cornerback at North Dakota State University who opened
the gym at 320 E. 17th Ave. with his wife, Jennifer. "They don't want
to lose what they've gained in the gym. Fitness is like good credit:
hard to get, easy to lose."
Samuel was originally from Aurora, Colo. and played for North Dakota State from 1996-99. A transfer from Fort Lewis College, Samuel finished with two career interceptions, 14 pass breakups and 71 tackles.
