Bison Women Travel to Oral Roberts, Centenary

North Dakota State (10-11, 6-5 Summit) hits the road for a pair of Summit League games ... NDSU is tied for fourth in the league standings ... The Bison won back-to-back games for the first time since Dec. 4 and Dec. 7 ... NDSU recorded its first league weekend sweep Feb. 27 and March 1, 2010 vs. UMKC (1-29-11) and Southern Utah (1-31-11) ... NDSU is 3-7 on the road this season including 3-2 in league play ... North Dakota State is scheduled to play league-leading Oral Roberts (15-7, 11-0 Summit) at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Mabee Center (10,575) in Tulsa, Okla. ... The Golden Eagles have won 10 games in a row ... ORU is 8-2 at home including 5-0 in league play ... The Series

DeGagne Provides Inspirational Boost
Dani DeGagne provided more than an inspirational boost as North Dakota State defeated Southern Utah 74-54 on Jan. 31 ... DeGagne, a 5-foot-9 sophomore from Brandon, Manitoba, flirted with her first collegiate "double-double" scoring 10 points and matching a career-high with nine rebounds ... Dani's mother, Colleen, passed away Jan. 28 following her courageous battle against cancer ... The SUU game provided DeGagne with an emotional outlet and her teammates a tremendous boost ... "It's good to get away with our family and it's definitely what my mom would have wanted," said DeGagne, who returned to Canada following the game ... "She (My mom) loved to watch me play, she would have wanted me to keep on playing. It's good to be back with the team because I missed them."

Plucker Receives Summit League Player of the Week Honor
North Dakota State forward Abby Plucker was named Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance during the week of Jan. 25-31 ... Plucker, a 5-foot-11 junior from Parker, S.D., earns her second Player of the Week award in three weeks ...The junior notched two double-doubles last week with 19 points and a career-high 17 rebounds vs. UMKC (1-29-11) and followed that up with 23 points and 14 rebounds against Southern Utah (1-31-11) ... In her 74 minutes of action, Plucker committed zero turnovers ... For the week, the forward averaged 21 points, 15.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, one steal and one block per contest. From the field, Plucker was 17-of-28 for 61 percent, shot 44 percent (4-of-9) from downtown and was 80 percent (4-of-5) from the free throw line.

North Dakota State was well represented in the Summit League statistics report released Feb. 1 (league games only) ... Individually in the top 10, Abby Plucker is 1st in rebounding (10.5 rpg) and three-point shooting (27-50, .540), 2nd in scoring (20.7 ppg) and three-pointers made (2.5 avg.), 3rd in field goal shooting (.565, 78-138) and free throw shooting (.865, 45-52), and 4th in minutes played (36.3 avg.); Katie Birkel is 3rd in minutes played (36.9 avg.), 4th in assist/turnover ratio (1.8) and 5th in assists (4.2 apg) ; Dani DeGagne is 10th in steals (1.9 spg), and Janae Burich is 3rd in blocked shots (2.4 bpg) ...
