FARGO, N.D. - North
Dakota State University has added Jamestown's KSJB-AM Classic Country 600 to
the Bison Radio Network for the upcoming football season, athletic director Gene Taylor announced Thursday.
"We are excited to
have KSJB join our radio family," Taylor said.
"Through the strength of the KSJB signal we will be able to reach Bison
fans we may have been missing. This is an
exciting addition to our football coverage."
KSJB has 29,000
square miles of signal and is fully powered day and night. Because of its large signal, KSJB is known in
the radio business as the "North Country Giant."
"NDSU Bison football
is a premium Division I franchise on the rise," said KSJB vice president and
general manager Patrick Pfeiffer, "and the timing is right to add KSJB's
huge day- and night-time signal to bring the action to thousands of eager
fans. We see this as a big win for
listeners and fans."
The football game day
broadcast includes a 30-minute pregame and 30-minute postgame show with KFGO's Scott
Miller calling the play-by-play, former NDSU All-American and 11-year NFL
great Phil Hansen as color analyst, and sideline reports from Jeremy Jorgenson, NDSU director of sales and broadcasting.
Miller also hosts the
weekly "Bison Feedback" call-in program with NDSU head coach Craig Bohl
from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday nights throughout the season live from the Fargodome.
