ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State's Andy Lillejord was named The Summit League's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for his performance Dec. 6-7 at the Dakota Duals, marking the initial award of the 2013 season.

Lillejord garners his second career Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor after recording the nation's top score in the heptathlon en route to helping the Bison win the Dakota Duals. The senior posted the top marks in five-of-seven events (60 meters, long jump, shot put, high jump, pole vault) to capture the event title with 5,628 points.
 
A pair of his heptathlon marks rank the nation's top-20.  He cleared 4.95m (16-02.75) in the pole vault, the 11th-best height in the NCAA and posted a mark of 7.15m (23-05.50) in the long jump, tying for 18th nationally.
 
Lillejord placed seventh in the heptathlon at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships, earning All-America honors.
