KELLER, Texas - North Dakota State scored four rounds of 78 and slipped to fifth place on the second day of the Summit League men's golf championship Tuesday, April 23, at Sky Creek Ranch.
North Dakota State sophomore Bill Carlson is still within striking distance in the individual race tied for fifth place with a 4-over-par 148 just four shots back of tournament leader Antoine Rozner of first-place Kansas City.
Also in contention for NDSU is senior Nathan Anderson alone in 12th place with a 6-over-par 150. Freshman Connor Holland is tied for 30th with a 159, senior Nate Varty is tied for 38th with a 166, and sophomore Trent Olson is tied for 40th with a 168.
UMKC leads the team race with a 593, South Dakota is second with a 597, South Dakota State third at 605, Western Illinois fourth with a 606, and North Dakota State is tied with Oakland for fifth at 615. Omaha is seventh, IUPUI eighth and Fort Wayne ninth.
Rozner has a one-shot lead at even-par 144 ahead of second-place Nate Davis of Western Illinois. UMKC's Korbin Kuehn and IPFW's Jacob Groniger are tied for third at 147 and Carlson is part of a four-way tie for fifth at 148.
Men's final-round action is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 24.
