6/24/2013 10:13:00 AM | Football
Keller, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound junior from Lewisberry, Pa. (Redland H.S.), connected on a school record 18 of 24 field goal attempts and also made 57-of-61 PATs to lead North Dakota State with 111 points. He earned first-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors in 2012.
Keller is the ninth Bison player to earn a spot on the 2013 CFPA Watch Lists this spring and summer, following quarterback Brock Jensen, running back Sam Ojuri, tight end Kevin Vaadeland, defensive ends Kyle Emanuel and Cole Jirik, linebackers Carlton Littlejohn and Grant Olson, and defensive back Marcus Williams.
Williams earned the 2011 CFPA Defensive Back Award and John Prelvitz claimed the 2010 CFPA Punter Award.
All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration.
The full list of 2013 recipients, including the FCS Awards, will be announced Jan. 8, 2014.
