NDSU Leads FCS With Six Sports Network All-Americans

PHILADELPHIA - Buck Buchanan Award-winning defensive end Kyle Emanuel headlined a nation's-best six selections from North Dakota State to the Sports Network FCS All-America Team announced Tuesday, Dec. 23.
NDSU junior left tackle Joe Haeg joined Emanuel on the first team, while senior running back John Crockett, senior safety Colten Heagle and junior punter Ben LeCompte were named to the second team, and junior fullback Andrew Bonnet to the third team.
It was the first career All-America honor for Bonnet, Crockett and LeCompte.
No other program had more than four players on the three All-America teams, which were comprised of 104 players spread across 64 programs and all 13 FCS conferences. The Missouri Valley Football Conference led the way with 18 selections.
No. 2 seed North Dakota State (14-1, 7-1 MVFC) plays No. 5 seed Illinois State (13-1, 7-1 MVFC) in the NCAA Division I football championship game Saturday, Jan. 10, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
