Stanford Invitational Awaits Bison Men’s Track & Field

The North Dakota State men's track & field team will travel to Stanford, Calif., this week to compete at the Stanford Invitational on Apr. 4-5. One of the largest outdoor track & field meets in the country, the Stanford Invitational will host more than 3,300 athletes and entrants from 114 four-year colleges.
Field events begin at 11 a.m. (CT)/9 a.m. (PT) on Friday, Apr. 4, with running events starting at 12:40 p.m. (CT)/10:40 a.m. (PT). On Saturday, Apr. 5, field events begin at 11 a.m. (CT)/9 a.m. (PT), and running events start at noon (CT)/10 a.m. (PT).

Junior Brett Kelly is the top-ranked Bison athlete on the national leaderboard this outdoor season, standing at No. 38 in the 3,000m steeplechase after last week's performance at the UC Riverside Spring Classic.
Current Summit League leaders for NDSU include Donte Smart (200m), Dalton Herding (400m), Moses Heppner (800m), Alec Espeland (1500m), Josh Eiler (discus), Quinn Baumann (javelin) and Angus Stoudt (decathlon).
NDSU is scheduled to host the Team Nodak Decathlon/Heptathlon in Fargo on Apr. 11-12 and the Dakota Duals on Apr. 12 next weekend.
