FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State's offense scored on 6 of 9 drives and rolled to a 61-12 win over the defense in the annual Green and Gold Spring Game before a crowd of 3,900 at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome on Saturday, April 25.

Redshirt freshman running back Lance Dunn had six carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns and sophomore tight end Jeff Illies made two catches for a game-high 76 yards to lead all receivers.

Senior quarterback Carson Wentz completed 3 of 4 passes for 62 yards on his only drive of the game and marched the Bison 65 yards in seven plays capped by Chase Morlock's 2-yard touchdown run.

The game used a modified scoring system that awarded the offense bonus points for 10-yard plays (1 point) and 8-play drives (2 points).  The defense earned its only points on a sack (2), a three-and-out (2), two other stopped drives (1) and six tackles for loss (1).

Redshirt freshman linebacker Dan Marlette led the defense with six total tackles including a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.  Junior linebacker Nick DeLuca had five tackles.

Sophomore quarterback Cole Davis was 5 of 6 for 74 yards including a 10-yard TD pass to redshirt freshman receiver Khayvon Hawkins.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Easton Stick went 7 of 9 for 135 yards with a 32-yard TD strike to sophomore receiver Shadeed Crockett.  Stick also had a 31-yard rushing touchdown on the game's final play.

North Dakota State opens its season at Montana in the 2015 FCS Kickoff televised by ESPN on Saturday, Aug. 29.
