Sanford Health Athletic Complex Construction Update: June 2015

The Sanford Health Athletic Complex is starting to round into shape after 14 months of construction.
The heavy lifting is taking place on the east addition, where beams and some roof trusses are in place for the new east concourse, club room, and concession stand. The addition will be highlighted by a curved glass exterior wall along University Drive.
Excavation of the old floor in Scheels Center is complete. New concrete has been finished on the first floor south concourse and team locker room spaces, and new walls have totally obscured the floorplan of the former Bison Sports Arena.
A new curved hallway has taken shape outside the future men's and women's basketball team rooms through the former first-floor offices. Studs and drywall are being installed for the new second floor academic suite and third floor storage over the former swimming pool.
Meanwhile, block walls have been primed in the weight room, and painting has already begun on the ceiling of the Nodak Mutual Insurance basketball training facility.
