FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team posted a convincing 83-52 victory over Waldorf University on Tuesday night at the Scheels Center.
NDSU (5-1) shot 52 percent for the game and limited Waldorf to 32-percent shooting. The Bison registered a 45-28 rebounding advantage in the contest.
Nine different Bison scored six or more points, led by sophomore Khy Kabellis with 12. Freshman guard Jared Samuelson added 10 points off the NDSU bench, and Deng Geu and Tyson Ward both chipped in nine points.
Geu made his first career start in place of A.J. Jacobson and recorded a season-high eight rebounds. Ward also set a season-high with eight boards.
NDSU never trailed in the game. The Bison raced out to a 34-10 lead just over 15 minutes into the game and led by as many as 39 points midway through the second half.
NDSU sophomore Evan Wesenberg scored eight points in 20 minutes off the bench. Redshirt freshman Zach Rammelt scored his first collegiate points with a three-pointer in the second half.
The Bison play next on Sunday, Nov. 27, at Missouri State, beginning a three-game road trip that also takes NDSU to No. 9 Xavier and North Carolina A&T.
