FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University baseball team dropped the second game of a three-game Summit League series against the Omaha Mavericks, 7-2, on Saturday, May 7, in front of 283 spectators at Newman Outdoor Field.
With the setback, NDSU falls to 25-21 overall and 9-14 in Summit League action, while Omaha improves to 24-21 and 14-9 in league play.

Logan Busch each tallied a hit in the game to lead North Dakota State.
Left-handed pitcher
Parker Trewin (0-2) suffered the loss on the mound for the Bison after allowing five earned runs on nine hits in four innings with four strikeouts and two walks.
Centerfielder Cole Gruber went 3-for-6 at the plate with two runs scored, a triple and RBI to pace the Mavericks. Third baseman Clayton Taylor and shortstop Riley Herold added doubles in the contest.
Omaha left-handed pitcher Sam Murphy (3-4) earned the win after surrendering two earned runs on five hits in six innings of work with five strikeouts and two walks.
The series finale is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at Newman Outdoor Field.
