Ward, Miller Power Bison to Victory over Florida A&M

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team had five players score in double figures as the Bison cruised to an 80-66 victory over Florida A&M in the regular season home opener Wednesday.
Sophomore Tyson Ward put up 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Bison. Senior Paul Miller had 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists. A.J. Jacobson (13), Rocky Kreuser (10) and Deng Geu (10) also scored in double figures for NDSU.
NDSU improved to 2-2 on the season, and Florida A&M fell to 1-5 with the loss. Marcus Barham led the Rattlers with 23 points.
The Bison opened up a 14-point lead in the first half and maintained that margin at the break, leading 42-28. Miller scored all 16 of his points in the first half.
NDSU built its advantage to as many as 25 points in the second half, taking a 70-45 lead on a pair of free throws by Jacobson with 7:54 remaining.
The Bison shot 50 percent for the game and went 11-for-25 (44 percent) from three-point range.
The Bison return to action on Saturday when they host Stetson at 7 p.m. inside the Scheels Center.
