No. 18 Arizona Too Much for North Dakota State

TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 18-ranked Arizona closed the first half with a 16-0 run to pull away for am 83-53 victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Monday night inside the McKale Center.
Top NBA prospect Deandre Ayton paced Arizona with 25 points and nine rebounds. NDSU got 12 points, five rebounds and four assists from Paul Miller, and Cameron Hunter scored 11 points for the Bison.
NDSU led 13-9 early, and the contest was tied 22-22 with 6:30 left in the first half. The Bison went scoreless over the final 6:54 of the half, as Arizona strung together a 16-0 run to lead 38-22 at the break.
Arizona extended its margin to 58-29 in the first eight minutes of the second half.
Arizona has now won 46 consecutive non-conference home games and 76 of its last 78 home games dating back to the 2012-13 season. Attendance was 14,048.
The Bison shot 37 percent for the game, while Arizona connected on 50 percent of its attempts.
The Bison will travel to El Paso, Texas, to open the Sun Bowl Invitational against UNC Wilmington on Thursday evening.
