Scene Setter
The North Dakota State women's basketball team is slated to host the Dakota State University Lady T's Friday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. inside the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex. The contest will be the final game before the Bison tip-off Summit League play Jan. 2 against South Dakota.
Series History
Friday's game will mark the second meeting in the all-time series. North Dakota State won the inaugural meeting, 92-48, against the Lady T's during the 2011-12 season.

- NDSU enters Friday with an overall record of 6-7 after splitting two games in the FIU Holiday Classic Dec. 20-21 in Miami, Fla. The Bison defeated FIU Dec. 20, 71-68, before falling to Central Arkansas Dec. 21, 68-45.

Last Time Out: NDSU Women's Basketball Falls to Central Arkansas in FIU Holiday Classic
The University of Central Arkansas Sugar Bears led from start to finish as they claimed the FIU Holiday Classic Championship with a 68-45 win over the North Dakota State University women's basketball team Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on the Florida International University campus.
Sophomores Rylee Nudell and Reilly Jacobson each scored 10 points, leading the Bison (6-7), with Nudell also pacing NDSU on the glass with four rebounds.
Nudell and freshman forward Emily Dietz were selected to the FIU Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team for their performances during the event.
North Dakota State shot 42 percent from the field and three-point range, but took only two free throws in the contest.
Kamry Orr netted a game-high 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting to lead Central Arkansas (7-4).
The Sugar Bears shot 54 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three-point range, and went 5-of-8 at the foul line for 63 percent.
UCA outscored NDSU in the paint, 32-24, and netted 18 points off 17 Bison turnovers.
Central Arkansas also posted a 27-25 advantage on the boards, and compiled 11 steals.
Dietz, Nudell Honored for Performances in FIU Holiday Classic
Freshman Emily Dietz and sophomore Rylee Nudell were both selected to the FIU Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team for their performances in the event Dec. 20-21. Dietz netted a career-high 18 points and snagged a career-best seven rebounds in the Bison's win over FIU Dec. 20. Nudell scored a career-high 16 points and pulled down five boards in the triumph over the Panthers.

Entering Friday's game against Dakota State, NDSU leads The Summit League in blocked shots with 61 total blocks and 4.1 blocks per game. Individually, three Bison rank in the top-10 in the league in blocks. Macey Kvilvang is tied for second with 18 blocks and 1.4 blocks per game, while Reilly Jacobson is sixth with 12 blocks and 1.1 blocks per game. Autumn Ogden ranks ninth with 11 blocks and 0.8 blocks per game.

Jacobson leads NDSU and ranks second with 4.7 assist per game while Fernandez is tied for sixth with 2.9 assists per game. In the NCAA national statistics, Jacobson ranks 53rd in total assists (61).

Through 13 games, Sarah Jacobson ranks second in The Summit League with a 1.7 assists-to-turnover ratio. Jacobson has dished out 61 assists while turning the ball over 36 times.

Taylor Thunstedt was voted to the preseason all-league second team for the second straight season after averaging a team-high 14.5 points per game and tallying an NDSU single-season record 92 three-pointers last season.
NDSU Women's Basketball Inks Reagan Heun on National Signing Day
North Dakota State University women's basketball head coach Maren Walseth announced Wednesday, Nov. 8, the signing of Canyon Lake High School (Spring Branch, Texas) standout guard Reagan Heun to a National Letter of Intent to attend NDSU and play basketball starting in the fall of 2018.
NDSU Women's Basketball Picked Sixth in Summit League Preseason Poll
The North Dakota State University women's basketball team was picked to finish sixth in The Summit League preseason poll released Wednesday, Oct. 4, by the league office. The Bison tallied 150 points in the poll. South Dakota State was tabbed the preseason favorite to win the league with 380 points and 16 first-place votes, while defending Summit League regular season and tournament champion Western Illinois was picked second with 372 points and 12 first-place votes. South Dakota was voted third with 307 points, rounding out the top-three. Oral Roberts was fourth, followed by Omaha and NDSU in fifth and sixth. Denver and Fort Wayne rounded out the poll in seventh and eighth.

The Bison open Summit League play at home Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 5 p.m. against South Dakota.
