Brandon Lewis of Bismarck Legacy HS has been admitted to NDSU and will join the track & field program beginning in the 2017-18 season.
Lewis leads all North Dakota high school athletes in the 100m dash, long jump and triple jump this season – his senior campaign at Bismarck Legacy HS. Lewis clocked 10.80 seconds in the 100m dash for a new school record, and has also posted season-best marks of 23-2 in the long jump and 44-11.50 in the triple jump.
Lewis won both the 60m dash and long jump at the North Dakota Class A Indoor Championships this March. He was the Class A state runner-up in the long jump as a junior in 2016, as well as taking fourth in the triple jump and running on Legacy's top-five 4x200m and 4x100m relays.
The Bison men have won a combined 14 indoor and outdoor Summit League team titles since 2008, including seven straight outdoor crowns.
