Jacquelyn Sertic struck out 12 and notched her fifth career one-hitter as North Dakota State edged Monmouth 1-0 at the LMU Tournament played Friday, March 16, at Smith Field. The Bison have won six games in a row.

NDSU (15-7) is scheduled to play Fairfield at 10 a.m. and Monmouth at 12:30 p.m. CT to close out tournament play Sunday, March 18.

Sertic, a senior right-hander from Sparks, Nev., limited Monmouth to a fourth inning single by Kayla Rosado. Sertic walked three and faced 24 batters. She received help from catcher
Maddie Hansen, who threw out a runner attempting to steal second in the sixth.
