MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – North Dakota State dropped a pair of matches, losing 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-11) to Arkansas and 3-0 (25-19, 27-25, 25-18) to Georgia Southern at Minnesota's Diet Coke Classic played Saturday, Sept. 1, before 4,728 spectators at Maturi Pavilion.
 
NDSU (1-4) is scheduled to host Western Carolina (4-1) at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
 
Logan Brown connected for a match-high 12 kills and hit .370 as Arkansas came back for the four-set win. Elizabeth Pamphile and Kelly O'Brien each had 11 kills for the Razorbacks (3-1), who outhit NDSU .200 to .031. Rachel Rippee collected 40 assists and 11 digs, while Okiana Valle came up with a match-high 21 digs.
 
Allie Mauch led North Dakota State with 11 kills, while 
Alexis Bachmeier finished with 10 kills and 12 digs to notch her first collegiate 'double-double'. 
Kalli Hegerle had 23 assists, while 
Abbi Klos added 16 digs and 
Bella Lien logged four blocks. The Bison held an 8-5 edge in team blocks.
 
Skylar Ball, Maddie Bryant and Carley Turner all had a match-high 12 kills to lead Georgia Southern to the win. The Eagles (1-5) outhit NDSU .297 to .124. Lauren Hager had four blocks as GSU held a 7-5 in team blocks. Madison Brown added 34 assists, while Joscelin Morrow had a match-high 18 digs.
 
McKenzie Burke paced the Bison with 10 kills. 
Kalli Hegerle had 28 assists, 
Kaylee Hanger came up with 17 digs and 
Kirstin Tidd added three blocks.
 
NDSU libero 
Abbi Klos was named to the Diet Coke Classic all-tournament team. Klos averaged 3.70 digs per set over three matches and 10 sets. She added five assists and three service aces.
