TULSA, Okla. – North Dakota State rallied back for a 3-2 win (25-18, 15-25, 18-25, 28-26,15-10) over Oral Roberts in a Summit League volleyball match played Sunday, Oct. 20, in the Cooper Aerobics Center. NDSU improved to 4-2 in five-set matches this season.

The Bison (9-11, 4-4 SL) are scheduled to host South Dakota State (5-14, 2-5 SL) at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse

Oral Roberts (6-16, 2-6 SL) led 24-23 in the fourth set, but NDSU came back. Kills from
Bella Lien,
Allie Mauch and
Emily Halverson each contributed big points to tie the match at 2-2.

North Dakota State made the most of its opportunities in the fifth and jumped out to a 5-0 lead. NDSU kept the Golden Eagles at a distance with plays from
Kalli Hegerle,
Alexis Bachmeier,
Syra Tanchin, Lien and Mauch.

Hegerle claimed five of her team-high 14 kills in the fifth set to match Bachmeier.
Kelley Johnson had 33 assists and 22 digs.
Kaylee Hanger came up with a career-high 30 digs as NDSU finished with 106 overall. Lien had 8 kills, eight blocks and a pair of service aces. Bachmeier completed the double-double with 12 digs, while
Ava Schmoll came off the bench for 14 digs.

Oral Roberts outhit the Bison .167 to .139, but the Bison held a 10-9 edge in team blocks.

CeCe Madison belted a match-high 29 kills for ORU, and added 19 digs, five blocks and a pair of aces. Laura Shoopman collected 15 kills and 27 digs. Sylvia Lawson handed out 51 assists, while Inka Inkret finished with 20 digs.
