Kalli Hegerle recorded her first career 'triple-double' in leading North Dakota State to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-14) win over host Toledo in the season opening match at the Blue & Gold Tournament on Friday, Aug. 30, in Savage Arena.

NDSU (1-0) is scheduled to play Loyola-Chicago (0-1) at 9 a.m. CT and Western Kentucky (1-0) at 3:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Aug. 31. WKU outlasted the Ramblers 3-2 in the tournament's first match.

Balanced North Dakota State hit .341 overall including .433 in the third set and jumped on the Rockets early.
Alexis Bachmeier notched 4 of her 5 service aces in the first set to match a career best.

Hegerle, a sophomore from West Fargo, N.D., finished with 18 assists, 10 kills and 10 digs to complete the rare 'triple-double'. It was NDSU's first since Brianna Rasmusson's effort against Omaha on Nov. 17, 2017 in the Summit League's quarterfinals.

Ally Murphy had a career-high eight kills, while
Kelley Johnson contributed 17 kills and 10 digs in her first collegiate appearance.
Bella Lien finished with five blocks including three solos.
