FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University head men's basketball coach David Richman announced the signing of Andrew Morgan to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Morgan is a 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward from Waseca, Minn., and Waseca HS. He averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds as a junior in Minnesota's Class 2A, leading Waseca to a 25-5 record.
Morgan is ranked as the No. 3 player in Minnesota's Class of 2021 and has been named a Top 250 player nationally by Prep Hoops.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Andrew into the Bison Family," said Richman. "Andrew comes from a great family that displays many of the qualities and values we are looking for in a student-athlete. We look forward to watching Andrew have a great senior season at Waseca and then have him join our program next summer."
Morgan also averaged three offensive rebounds and nearly two blocks per game last season. He has totaled over 1,300 career points entering his senior season.
"Andrew is a hard worker with a strong, blue-collar mentality. His toughness is one of the first things that stood out to us the summer before his junior year," said Richman. "He plays the game with a ton of energy and a chip on his shoulder. We look forward to getting to work with him on a daily basis."
The Bison have earned four NCAA Tournament berths in the past seven seasons, including back-to-back Summit League Tournament titles in 2019 and 2020.
