HONOLULU, Hawaii - The Hawaii baseball team capitalized on a pair of Bison errors Sunday, as the Rainbow Warriors defeated North Dakota State 11-3.
NDSU dropped to 1-2 on the year, while the Rainbow Warriors improved to 4-1. The two teams will face each other in the final game of the series on Monday, with the first pitch scheduled for 5:05 p.m. (central).
Eight different Bison tallied a hit in the game.
Riley Johnson suffered the loss on the mound in his first start since the 2018 season. Johnson allowed five unearned runs on four hits in 1.2 innings of work. Johnson walked a pair and struck out one.
Tristen Roehrich struck out three in 3.1 innings, while allowing a run on a hit and two walks.
Wyatt Nelson notched a pair of strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work.
Hawaii took a 5-0 lead in the second inning on five unearned runs. The Bison cut into the lead in the fourth inning with three runs.

Calen Schwabe. The Rainbow Warriors extended the lead to 6-3 with a run in the fifth before putting up five runs in the sixth.
