2020 SEASON (SENIOR): Appeared in 11 games, including eight starts, before season was cut short due to coronavirus pandemic...Hit .174 with four hits in 23 at-bats...Scored five runs, while hitting a home run with a .304 slugging percentage and .367 on-base percentage...Had hits against Hawaii (Feb. 16 & 17) and Northern Colorado (March 7 & 8)...Named to Summit League Academic Honor Roll...

2019 SEASON (JUNIOR): Played 37 games including 32 starts … Hit .204 with 23 hits in 113 at bats with 21 RBI, three home runs, five doubles, two triples, 17 walks and 19 runs scored … Went 4-for-4 with four RBI, a triple and a run scored on May 11 against Purdue Fort Wayne.

2018 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Played 35 games including 24 starts … Hit a career high .340 in 97 at bats with 33 hits, 25 RBI, three home runs, nine doubles, a triple, eight walks and 20 runs scored … Team high .546 slugging percentage … Tied a school record with four walks against Dickinson State (March 12) ... Summit League Player of the Week (April 30) …

2017 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Saw action in 19 games, including 10 starts ... Hit .108 with four hits in 37 at bats ... Compiled three runs scored, one double, one RBI, four walks and a stolen base ... Went a career-best 2-for-4 with a double at Northern Colorado March 5.

2016 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Redshirted

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Fargo North High School where he was a two-time all-conference honoree ... Was named all-state and team MVP as a senior ... Was a three-year letterwinner and starter ... Hit .380 as a senior ... Also played football and swam for Fargo North. 

PERSONAL: Son of Corey and Kelly Thompson ... Has two brothers -- Casey and Hayden ... Plans to major in management at NDSU.
