Ryan Tabbed Perfect Game Freshman All-American

FARGO, N.D. – Freshman left-handed pitcher Sheamus Ryan has been named to the Perfect Game Collegiate Freshman All-American Second Team, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon.
Ryan led the Bison with a 2.44 ERA over 13 appearances on the mound. The Calgary, Alberta native tossed 28 strikeouts with 11 walks over 48.0 innings. He also made two starts, including his first career complete game with six strikeouts at St. Thomas on March 15.
In Summit League play, Ryan logged a team-best three saves across eight appearances. He posted 19 strikeouts over 35.2 innings with a league-best 2.02 ERA.
Ryan becomes the first Bison pitcher since Parker Puetz in 2023 to earn Freshman All-America honors. He was also named the Summit League Newcomer of the Year and to the All-Summit League Second Team earlier this season.
