NDSU Women Fourth After Opening Day at Lady Thunderbird Invitational

Update (Thursday - 9:25 p.m.): The final round scheduled for Friday, March 13, has been canceled due to the Big Sky Conference restricting athletic competition.
ST. GEORGE, UTAH - The North Dakota State women's golf team opened play at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Thursday, sitting in a tie for fourth place after the opening round.
NDSU shot a 302 in the first round and is tied with Oral Roberts. Southern Utah has the lead with a 296, while South Dakota State is in second with a 297. Eastern Washington is just a stroke ahead of NDSU in third. Madalyn Ardueser of Eastern Washington has the individual lead with a 70.
Alexis Thomas shot a 73, as she sits in a tie for sixth to lead the Bison. Lexi Geolat shot a 75 and is tied for 16th. Maddie Herzog is tied for 19th after an opening round 76. Taylor McCorkle shot a 78 in the opening round and is tied for 29th. Sierra Bennion rounded out the Bison lineup, shooting an 80 to be tied for 44th. Playing as an individual, Camryn Roadley is tied for 33rd with a 79 in the opening round.
The final round begins at 10 a.m. CT Friday at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.
