Zivaljevic Signs Professional Contract in Slovakia

Former North Dakota State women's basketball standout Sofija Zivaljevic has signed a contract to begin her professional career in Slovakia.
Zivaljevic, from Podgorica, Montenegro, has signed with MBK Ruzomberok. The team is based in Ruzomberok, Slovakia.
MBK Ruzomberok went 19-0 during the regular season last year. They won the National Cup in 2019 and 2020, while holding two Euroleague titles, 12 Slovak titles and three Czech-Slovak titles. The season is scheduled to begin on Sept. 30.
In 49 games as a Bison over the last two years, Zivaljevic made 28 starts and averaged 24 minutes per game. She averaged 9.1 points per game, 2.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game for her career. She dished out 90 assists during her final campaign, helping the Bison to the Summit League Tournament Semifinals for the first time since 2009.
