The women's six-kilometer race will run at 3 p.m., followed by the men's 8k at 3:45 p.m. at Newman Golf Course. The meet is expected to include 25+ Division I schools.
It will be NDSU's first time competing at Newman Golf Course in Peoria since the 2018 NCAA Midwest Regional. Current Bison senior Kelby Anderson finished ninth out of more than 230 runners in that race, running – at the time – the sixth-fastest 6k in NDSU history in 20:42.6.
Anderson led the Bison women last time out, taking 32nd place as NDSU's No. 1 runner at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 24.
On the men's side, freshman Mason Kindel has been the top finisher for NDSU at two out of three meets this season. Freshman Tyson Mahar has also been in the Bison top five for every meet this year.
Friday's races will be the final tune-up for the Bison cross country squads before the Summit League Championships are held on Oct. 30 in Tulsa, Okla.
