PDF Box Score

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Senior Rocky Kreuser scored 20 points, including two clutch buckets late, to lift the North Dakota State men's basketball team to a 60-57 win over Cal Poly inside the Mott Athletics Center on Friday afternoon.

NDSU improved to 2-0 on the season, while Cal Poly fell to 1-1.

Holding onto a 54-53 lead with just over a minute remaining, Kreuser knocked down a three-pointer late in the shot clock to extend the advantage to 57-53. After a pair of free throws by Cal Poly, Kreuser slashed to the rim for a layup to put the Bison up 59-55 with 19 seconds left.

Both teams shot exactly 20-for-53 (38 percent) for the game, but the Bison made two more three-pointers than the Mustangs and drained 12-of-15 from the free throw line.

Kreuser pulled down eight rebounds to go along with his 20 points. Grant Nelson added 10 points and six rebounds for NDSU, and Jarius Cook scored 10.

The Bison will continue their road swing with games at UNLV on Monday, Nov. 15, and at Arizona on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
