NDSU Wraps Road Swing at Wyoming on Sunday

North Dakota State (3-5) will wrap its road swing at Wyoming (3-4) on Sunday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. CT at Arena-Auditorium.

BISON QUICK HITS
North Dakota State pulled within five points in the fourth quarter, but couldn't complete the upset bid of No. 6/10 Arizona on Thursday night falling 59-47.
Heaven Hamling notched a team-high 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field and matched a season-high four three pointers on nine attempts. It marked her fourth straight double-digit scoring performance and seventh of the season. Emily Dietz, who made her 90th career start, grabbed a game-high seven rebounds to go along with six points. Ryan Cobbins handed out a game-high five assists and added six rebounds and four points to her stat line.
HAMLING HEATS UP
Heaven Hamling has registered double figures in scoring in each of her last four games, which matches her longest double figure scoring streak since she strung together four last season from Jan. 8 against Omaha to Jan. 16 at North Dakota.
Hamling has drained three or more triples in five games this season, including a season-high four against Dickinson State on Nov. 23 and at Arizona on Dec. 9.
COBBINS CONTINUES FAST START
Ryan Cobbins is averaging a team-best 14.3 points per game and opened the season posting double digits in scoring in each of the first seven games. It marked the longest double digit scoring streak of her career since the 2019-20 season when she assembled eight straight games from Jan. 16 vs. South Dakota to Feb. 9 vs. Oral Roberts.
Cobbins is shooting team-best 51.3 percent (39-76) from the field and 54.2 percent (13-24) from three. Additionally, she has collected a team-high 45 total rebounds this season and is averaging 5.6 per game.
OVERCOMING SLOW STARTS
NDSU has been outscored in the first quarter this season, 139-110. However, the Bison have bounced back and outscored their opponents a combined 421-382 over the final three quarters.
LINEUP ADJUSTMENTS
NDSU has used the same the starting lineup combination in each of the last three games. The Bison have only used two different lineup combinations this season.
COLLECTING ALL THE REBOUNDS
NDSU is collecting 35.0 rebounds per game this season and is limiting its opponents to 31.8. The Bison have registered a +3.3 rebounding margin and have won the rebounding the battle in five of the first eight games this season.
SCOUTING WYOMING
Wyoming enters the weekend with a 3-4 overall record and most recently fell short at Gonzaga, 54-47, on Dec. 3. Ola Ustowska paced Cowgirls with a game-high and career-best 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
Wyoming ranks third in the nation and leads the Mountain West with the fewest fouls this season with 73.
THE SERIES VS. WYOMING
This will be the fifth all-time meeting between NDSU and Wyoming dating back to 2008. It will also be the first trip to Laramie to take on the Cowgirls with the first four matchups taking place in Fargo or neutral sites. Wyoming leads the all-time series, 4-0.
In their most recent encounter in 2019, NDSU came up short against the Cowgirls, 66-57, after Wyoming assembled a late 16-2 run to seal the win. Emily Dietz contributed 12 points and five rebounds, while Ryan Cobbins added in seven points with four rebounds of her own.
