FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team led by as many as 22 points and ultimately edged South Dakota State by two, 84-82, on Saturday night inside the Scheels Center.

NDSU improved to 10-4 in The Summit League, and SDSU fell to 7-3 in conference play.

Six Bison scored in double figures, led by senior forward
Rocky Kreuser with 17 points.
Sam Griesel added 15,
Maleeck Harden-Hayes scored 11, and
Tyree Eady,
Jarius Cook, and
Grant Nelson all chipped in 10.

Kreuser pulled down six rebounds, and Eady recorded five assists for NDSU.

NDSU posted its second-best shooting percentage of the season, making 56 percent. The Bison connected on 11-of-23 (48 percent) from three-point range. SDSU shot 57 percent overall and 5-of-19 from beyond the arc.

The Bison led 47-35 at halftime, despite the Jackrabbits closing with an 8-1 run to trim a 19-point margin. NDSU's 47 first-half points were its most in the opening half this season.

NDSU went up 22 points at 67-45 with 13 minutes to play, but SDSU clawed back to within three at 79-76 with two minutes remaining. The Jackrabbits cut the deficit to three on three different occasions, but the Bison responded with points each time.

The Bison play at South Dakota on Saturday, Feb. 27, and Sunday, Feb. 28, to close out the regular season.
