MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The North Dakota State softball team picked up a pair of wins over Dayton 5-4 in extra innings and Middle Tennessee State 8-3 on Saturday, March 13, at the MTSU Invitational.
Mac Schulz pitched all nine innings in the opener for the Bison (4-10) allowing three earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and zero walks. NDSU won it in the bottom of the ninth when
Nicole Licea's one-out bunt scored

Ciara Jensen was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer against Dayton that gave the Bison a 3-2 lead in the third.
Cameryn Maykut picked up an RBI in the eighth with a game-tying bunt after the Flyers had gone ahead 4-3.
It was all Bison in the nightcap as NDSU jumped out to a 5-0 lead on
Skylar Padgett's three-run triple in the first inning and scored two more in the second on a two-out fielding error.
Paige Vargas pitched all seven innings for the win allowing eight hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
