2019 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Capped off freshman year by earning Summit League tournament MVP honors...Pitched NDSU's final 21 innings and 319 pitches of the tournament, compiling 3-0 record with a 0.33 earned run average and a pair of shutouts...Summit League Freshman of the Year...All-Summit League first team...Finished season with a 17-5 record and 3.01 ERA including eight shutouts and one save...Made 28 appearances with 24 games started and 16 complete games...Had 111 strikeouts and 53 walks in 146.1 innings pitched...Opponents hit .235...During Summit League regular season, started six games and posted 6-0 record with five complete games and a 1.69 ERA...Faced 43 batters over 10 innings in first career start and 4-3 win at Texas State (2-11-19)...NFCA Scholar Athlete...Summit League Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Majoring in exercise science with a minor in psychology...Daughter of Alex and Lynette Vargas...Cousin, Madyson Cassidy, played volleyball at Occidental College.
