The North Dakota State University men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Friday, Sept. 24.
The eight-kilometer Division I men's race will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Les Bolstad Golf Course, with the 6k women's race scheduled to start at 11:15 a.m.
On the women's side, second-year freshman Allie Wahlund has been the top finisher for NDSU at both meets so far this season. Wahlund placed second at the Ron Pynn Classic on Sept. 4 and took fifth at the SDSU Classic on Sept. 10.
Twice this year, the Bison men have been led by runners making their debut at the front of the NDSU pack. Freshman Mason Kindel (Bismarck, N.D.) led the Bison at the season-opening Ron Pynn Classic, and sophomore Payton Smith (Carrington, N.D.) was NDSU's top finisher at the SDSU Classic.
