PDF Box Score

VERMILLION, S.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team outscored South Dakota 14-2 in overtime to earn a 74-62 road victory in Summit League play Thursday night.

NDSU improved to 14-7 overall and 6-3 in The Summit League, snapping South Dakota's five-game win streak.

The game went to overtime tied at 60-60 after a potential game-winning three-pointer by USD's Tasos Kamateros was waved off after the buzzer. NDSU scored the first 12 points of overtime, starting with Tyree Eady's third three-pointer of the game. A traditional three-point play by Boden Skunberg put the game out of reach at 72-60 with 1:06 left in overtime.

The margin was never larger than seven points either way until NDSU's 12-0 run in OT. The game saw 13 ties and 8 lead changes.

The victory gave NDSU head coach David Richman his 150th career win. NDSU improved to 17-6 against the Coyotes in the Division I era.

Sam Griesel led the Bison with a double-double, putting up 20 points and 11 rebounds. Eady scored 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting, and Grant Nelson added 10 points and three blocks off the NDSU bench.

The Bison limited the Coyotes to 35-percent shooting in the game.
