PEORIA, Ill. – Junior Kaleesa Houston and sophomore Grace Link led the North Dakota State women's cross country team in a strong showing for the Bison at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon.

Houston (Waconia, Minn.) was the top NDSU finisher for the third straight meet, placing 11th overall out of more than 300 runners. She clocked a lifetime-best 20:34.1 for the six-kilometer course to rank fifth-fastest in school history at that distance.

Link (Plymouth, Minn.) finished in 28th place, clocking 20:56.2 to stand 12th on the NDSU all-time cross country 6k list.

The Bison women took an impressive sixth place out of 38 teams at the meet, and were the top-finishing Summit League squad. Last season, NDSU took 11th as a team at the Bradley Pink Classic.

Sophomore Kelby Rinas was the No. 3 runner for NDSU, taking 59th overall in 21:38.4, and Alexis Roehl placed 61st in 21:39.4. Sophomore Reagan Baesler completed the team scoring for the Bison in 21:46.0 for 70th place.

Freshman Aleah Miller clocked 21:49.0 for 75th place, giving NDSU six runners inside the top 25 percent of finishers.

Friday's race served as the final tune-up for the Bison women before the Summit League Championships are held on Oct. 29 in Grand Forks, N.D.
