Skunberg Named Summit League Peak Performer of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State guard Boden Skunberg claimed the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week award Monday, league officials announced. Skunberg averaged 20.3 points and 7.0 rebounds last week in three games for the Bison.
Skunberg opened the week by posting a double-double in a 67-62 road victory over Portland. The junior finished with a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds in the victory over the West Coast Conference foe.
Skunberg also went 9-for-10 from the charity stripe against the Pilots and came up with a key offensive rebound in the closing seconds, making a pair of free throws that gave NDSU a two-possession lead.
For the second straight game, Skunberg established a new career-high in scoring after netting 22 in an 82-75 home loss to Montana. The Jamestown, N.D., native went 12-for-12 from the foul line and added seven rebounds.
He closed the week by leading the Bison with 19 points in a 99-54 rout of Waldorf. Skunberg's 61 total points were the most in any three-game stretch of his career, and he has now scored in double figures in a career-best five straight games.
