NDSU Women’s Golf Slotted in 10th Place After Day One of Grand Canyon Invite

PHOENIX – The North Dakota State women's golf team is positioned in 10th place after day one at the Grand Canyon Invitational at GCU Golf Course.
The Bison put together rounds of 303 and 297 for a two-round total of 600. Grand Canyon leads the tournament with a score of 570 and SMU is slotted in second place with a score of 575. Santa Clara sits two strokes back in third place with a score of 577.
Jo Baranczyk is tied for 20th place with rounds of 75 and career-low 71 for a two-round score of 146. Maddie Herzog (75-76--151) is tied for 44th place, while Catherine Monty (82-72--154) and Lexi Geolat (76-78--154) are both tied for 61st place. Leah Skaar (77-80--157) rounds out the group tied for 73rd place. Elise Hoven also competed as an individual and is tied for 32nd place after carding a career-low 72 and 77 for a two-round total of 149.
The average score after over two rounds of play on the par 72 course was 76.25.
NDSU will wrap up play in the final round of the Grand Canyon Invite tomorrow at GCU Golf Course.
