Trevor Otterdahl Named Summit League Indoor Field Athlete of the Year

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State senior thrower Trevor Otterdahl has been voted the Summit League Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, the league office announced Friday.
 
Otterdahl earned his second straight top-five finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the weight throw this season, placing fifth for first-team All-America honors. He was named the Championships Field MVP at the conference meet, scoring 18 points to lead all men in the field events.
 
Otterdahl is the third Bison to earn Summit League Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year in the past four seasons, joining his older brother Payton Otterdahl (2019) and Alex Talley (2021).

  • Claimed first-team All-America honors in the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships, taking fifth place with a mark of 72-11.75 (22.24m)
  • Earned this year's Summit League Men's Field Championship MVP honors finishing with 18 total points at the league championships
  • Took home the weight throw title at the league championships with a career-best toss of 74-05.50 (22.69m)
  • Finished runner-up in the shot put at the conference meet, registering a mark of 62-04.00 (19.00m)
  • Established a new shot put personal-best of 62-09.25 (19.13m), ranking 31st nationally
