VERMILLION, S.D. – Big marks in the discus highlighted the efforts of the North Dakota State men's track & field team on Saturday at the South Dakota Challenge.

Freshman
Kaden Pastian threw a personal-best 189-5 (57.73m) to win the discus. He moved up to No. 2 all-time at NDSU.

Clayton Hannula now ranks 11th in NDSU history for the discus after throwing 170-1 (51.86m).
Levi Rockey also registered a personal-best mark, throwing 169-8 (51.72m).

Trevor Otterdahl won the shot put with a throw of 61-01.50 (18.63m). Hannula (56-06.75) took third, and Rockey (55-06.25) was fifth.

Sophomore
Hunter Merkley took second in the long jump with a wind-aided 24-04.25 (7.42m).
Dante White was third with a wind-aided 23-01.75 (7.05m).

White also clocked a wind-aided 10.46 to take fourth place in the 100m dash.

Marcus Walton took fifth in the triple jump, posting a wind-aided mark of 44-07.50 (13.60m).
