Kopp Named MVFC Defensive Player of the Week

ST. LOUIS - North Dakota State linebacker Logan Kopp was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 9, for the first time in his career.
Kopp, a sophomore from Lindbergh High School in St. Louis, made nine tackles including one forced fumble in North Dakota State's 38-10 win at Missouri State. He also recovered the fumble and added two pass breakups for the Bison defense, which had 11 breakups and three interceptions.
Kopp is NDSU's leading tackler this year with 34 total stops and 2.5 tackles for loss. He was named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team last season.
North Dakota State (4-1, 1-1 MVFC) plays North Dakota (3-2, 1-1 MVFC) at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.
