
Kopp, Miller Finalists for FCS Player of the Year Awards

FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State linebacker Logan Kopp and quarterback Cam Miller are among the finalists announced Tuesday, Nov. 21, for two national player of the year awards in the Football Championship Subdivision.
Kopp, a sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., is a candidate for the Buck Buchanan Award, which is presented annually to the FCS Defensive Player of the Year. Kopp leads the NDSU defense with 68 total tackles including two forced fumbles and one recovery. He is second on the team with three interceptions and four pass breakups, and ranks third on the Bison with 7.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Miller, a senior from Solon, Iowa, is a candidate for the Walter Payton Award, which is presented annually to the FCS Offensive Player of the Year. Miller ranks second in the FCS with a .747 completion percentage and 166.5 pass efficiency rating. He is 171 of 229 passing for 2,049 yards with 14 touchdowns against four interceptions, and he is NDSU's leading rusher with 563 yards on 100 attempts with 11 touchdowns.
Two NDSU players have won the awards in previous years. Defensive end Kyle Emanuel was the Buck Buchanan Award winner in 2014, and quarterback Trey Lance was the Walter Payton Award winner in 2019.
