PHOENIX – The North Dakota State women's golf team is in sixth place after the first two rounds of action at the Grand Canyon Invitational at GCU Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
The Bison carded rounds of 301 and 291 for a two-round total of 592 and are positioned in sixth place in the 17-team tournament. ULM (284-283--567) is in first place, while Northern Arizona (288-283--571) sits four strokes back in second place. Grand Canyon (287-293--580) rounds out the top three in third place.
Leah Skaar (74-73--147) and
Madi Hicks (76-71--147), who tied a season-low 71 in round two, paced the Bison tied for 26th place.
Elise Hoven (74-75--149) and
Jo Baranczyk (77-72--149), who fired a season-low 72 in round two, are tied for 41st place.
Catherine Monty (79-76--155) closes out the group tied for 65th place.
Cora Larson (74-75--149) also competed as an individual and is tied for 41st place.
The average score over the first two rounds of play was 75.60.
NDSU will wrap up play at the Grand Canyon Invite tomorrow.
