The North Dakota State University men's and women's track & field teams will open the 2023 outdoor season at the USF Bulls Invitational in Tampa, Fla., this Friday, Mar. 17, and Saturday, Mar. 18.
 
Both the Bison men and women were picked to finish second in the Summit League outdoor preseason polls released this week. South Dakota is favored to win both team titles, and South Dakota State was tabbed for third in both.
 
The University of South Florida will host this weekend's outdoor opener at USF Track & Field Stadium.
 
Friday's action in Tampa is scheduled to begin with the men's javelin at 10 a.m. ET / 9 a.m. CT and the men's hammer throw at 12:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. CT. Running events will start at 5 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. CT.
 
On Saturday, field events will begin at 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. CT, with track events running from 11:30 a.m. CT until approximately 3:15 p.m. CT.
 
The Bison men and women have both won 13 Summit League outdoor team titles in 14 seasons since joining the league in 2008.
