LINCOLN, Neb. – North Dakota State men's golf wrapped up the Summit League Championships on Tuesday, finishing fourth overall at the Wilderness Ridge Country Club.
The Bison shot their best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a team score of 296 to hold firm in fourth overall at +49. Kansas City won the team title at +33, with Denver (+38) and Oral Roberts (+42) rounding out the top three.
Ian Simonich led the way for the Bison in the final round, shooting the best round of the tournament for NDSU with a 72, to climb the leaderboard and finish in a tie for 12
th. Simonich had one birdie and two bogeys in the round, along with 15 pars as he finished the tournament at +12.
One shot ahead of Simonich was
Nate Adams and
Nate Deziel, who both shot 75 on the final day. The duo finished in a tie for 9
th overall at +11. Both golfers finished with a pair of birdies in the final round.
Brock Winter wrapped up the scoring rounds for the Bison on Tuesday, as he shot his tournament best round of 74. Winter had a birdie and 13 pars in the round to shoot +3 for the day. He moved up the leaderboard several spots to finish in a tie for 20
th overall.
Gavin Cronkhite finished up the tournament for NDSU, shooting his second-straight round of 79 in the final round. Cronkhite had a pair of birdies and went on to finish in 48
th at +29.
The NDSU men's golf team season will come to a close with the wrap up of the Summit League Championship. The Bison finished the year with three team victories and seven top three finishes overall. NDSU golfers combined for six individual medalist honors throughout the season.
