NDSU No. 2 in AFCA FCS Preseason Coaches Poll

FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State was ranked No. 2 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Preseason Top 25 poll conducted by the American Football Coaches Association.
Defending national champion South Dakota State was the preseason No. 1 with 24 of 25 possible first-place votes. Montana State was third, William & Mary fourth and Holy Cross fifth.
SDSU and NDSU are two of the four Missouri Valley Football Conference members in the preseason poll. North Dakota was 18th and Northern Iowa was 20th.
North Dakota State opens the season against Eastern Washington at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday, Sept. 2. Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com.
