PROVO, Utah – The North Dakota State women's golf team finished in sixth place at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Timpanogos Golf Club.
The Bison put together rounds of 295, 285, and 280 for a three-round total of 860 to finish in sixth place in the 19-team tournament. The 54-hole total of 860 ranks for the lowest total in NDSU history which was 872 set at the Summit League Championship on April 25, 2023. The third round of 280 is now the lowest in program history, beating the original 284, which was set on Sept. 11, 2017, at the Battle at Old Works.
Grand Canyon (289-270-278—837) finished on top of the leaderboard and posted a -27, while Santa Clara (288-276-282—846) recorded a second-place finish.
Madi Hicks (74-69-69--212) fired a career-low of 54-hole total of 212 to finish tied for 12th place. The Victoria, Minn. native tied a career-low 69 in rounds two and three after posting five birdies on the final day.
Cora Larson (74-73-68—215) notched a career-low 54-hole score of 215 to finish tied for 24th place. She carded a career-low 68 in the final round to move up 25 spots on the leaderboard with five birdies.
Elise Hoven (80-72-70--222) and
Norah Roberts (70-79-73—222) both finished tied for 47th place, while
Leah Skaar (77-71-82—230) closes out the group tied for 85th place.
Jo Baranczyk (78-82-80—240) competed as an individual and finished tied for 96th place.
NDSU will be back in action at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Invitational on Sept. 24-26 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
