BOZEMAN, Mont. – The North Dakota State women's golf team climbed two spots to finish in a tie for fourth place at the Yellowstone Intercollegiate at Riverside Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bison placed one golfer in the top 10, as Avery Bartels (73-76-68—217) recorded a career-low round of 68 to climb 16 spots to finish in a tie for 10th place, marking her third top 10 collegiate finish. Bartels fired five birdies, 12 holes at par, and just one bogey on the day to earn her best round as a Bison of -4 and finished +1 overall.

Norah Roberts (73-70-75—218) finished just outside the top ten in a tie for 13th place at +2 overall. Roberts matched her round one performance of 13 holes at par and two birdies to finish +3 in the final round of the event.

Cora Larson (72-78-74—224) and Madi Hicks (74-74-78—226) both finished in the middle of the 66-golfer field. Larson tallied three birdies in the final round to finish +2 on the day and +8 overall in a tie for 27th place. Hicks added two more birdies in the last 18-holes to finish the round at +6 and the tournament in a tie for 29th place at +10.

Lily Vincelli (77-76-88—241) is the final Bison in the event. Vincelli ended the round at +16 to finish in a tie for 60th place at +25 overall.

The Bison (292-296-295—883) shot +7 in the final round to move up two slots in the leaderboard and finish in a tie for fourth with California Baptist (294-290-299—883) at +19. Montana State (282-285-281—848) claimed its home tournament title with a 15-stroke lead at -16. CSU Northridge (289-286-288—863) finished in second at -1 overall, and Gonzaga (288-289-299—876) in third at +12.

NDSU will take a full week off before returning to action at the Diane Thomason Invitational. The tournament will be hosted by Iowa at their own Finkbine Golf Course on September 29-30 in Iowa City, Iowa.
